The Theme Park Cinema Invasion

Movie? Film? Cinema? Do you use these words interchangably? Do they have a specific meaning to you? Apparently they do for Martin Scorcese. Recently, the famed director shared his feelings about the Marvel Cinematic Universe films while doing press for The Irishman, going as far as to say that the MCU films are “not cinema” and compared them more to “theme parks.” This really got me thinking about how I personally think about cinema, so I’m going to share those thoughts with you.
